Terrorism insurance

Insurance against Terrorism.....

A common exclusion under business insurance policies in the UK is insurance cover for acts of terrorism. Although terrorism insurance is excluded there is an option to protect your businesss against this risk at an additional cost.

Terrorism insurance can be arranged to cover losses resulting from damage to commercial property and contents as a consequence of an act of terrorism. Equally there are additional covers excluded for terrorism under your policy that could be included within the terrorism insurance policy. For example, covers such as Business Interruption and Loss of Rent which would cover your loss of profit or revenue. As this is a generally a standard policy exclusion it is recommended that insurance against terrorism is considered regardless of your business.

The UK terrorism insurance exclusion does not just apply to commercial property of business insurance policies. Owners of residential property, freeholders and even landlords should also be aware of the fact that commonly cover is not included as standard.
